Genesis Regeneration Review Co-creation with Genesis staff
Genesis Housing Association
Regenfirst worked with Genesis Housing Association in 2012-13 to modernise their approach to regeneration, and to strengthen the links between their estate renewal programmes and their economic and social regeneration. Using a co-creation approach, we worked intensively with staff over a four month period to develop a new corporate definition of regeneration which would be recognised and owned by staff throughout Genesis, whatever their role. Working with their corporate strategy strapline “Building Better Futures”, the Genesis approach has improving residents’ economic wellbeing at its heart. From this work, we prepared a new corporate strategy for regeneration, using it to strengthen their Corporate Social Responsibility function and the focus of the community grants programme overseen by the Genesis Community Charitable Foundation. We also designed a flexible new staffing structure for Regeneration that emphasises a commissioning approach, enabling Genesis to work more collaboratively with the many different local authorities and partner agencies it serves to add value to other regeneration work and give residents the opportunity to take greater control over community service delivery. Between July 2013 and April 2014 Regenfirst provided Director level interim management services to embed the new approach.
Maybe a title here would work?
"Regenfirst helped Genesis to improve its regeneration offer, and over the past couple of years has provided the group with high quality support for its estate renewal programmes at Grahame Park and Woodberry Down, and with its economic development and community engagement programmes."− John Carleton, Executive Director of Markets & Portfolio
